TSC Zero Waste Label Printer

Globally we use and throw away millions of tons of release liners every single year. The liner or carrier sheet is for the adhesive face stock of your labels, typically a coated calendared kraft paper.

But here’s problem says Techspan:
Traditional release liners are silicone coated and extremely difficult to recycle, so they inevitably end up in the landfill. Some companies do now run label recycling programs but this still required shipping of the waste stock thousands of kilometers to be processed. Because stickers and labels are an accessory to e-commerce packaging, they are easy to overlook when you’re greening your packaging.

The TSC dektop DA-220 thermal label printer is set up for linerless label printing – which eliminates all these issues.

The TSC DA-200 model is manufactured by TSC in Taiwan, with added linerless platen roller and label cutter for linerless labels. It’s a compact design printer with a 200 dpi direct thermal print head, 100mm wide. Its quality built, affordable, robut and quiet. It is easy to use and tlo load. It prints at 152mm per second and has an Ethernet connection on-board. Bluetooth connectivity is available as an optional extra. Its great for freight and logistics, warehousing and pack houses, or anywhere you are currently using peel and present printers.

Standard DA-200 printers can also be converted to linerless printers. Lable rolls come 100mm wide by 90m inlength and are cut and presented any length required.

Linerless labels have a special release coating applied to the face of the label which allows the label to be wond on a roll without the adhesive sticking to the label below it. Elminating the liner is a smarter and greener solution by reducing solid waste stream and minimizing silicone in landfills.
